Wouldn’t it be nice to have extra money every month?
In this post I want to share with you how to make an extra $1,000 every month on the side.
Here’s a look at how you can get started making an extra $1,000 every month.
1. Start a money making blog
You can make an extra $1,000 every month from blogging.
You can make money blogging several different ways, including advertisements, affiliate marketing, digital products, sponsorships, and more.
I make over $3,000 per month blogging, it’s my fave!
Also, use these tools to help you make money blogging from home:
- 5 Day Blogging Bootcamp (free 5 day email course)
- Beginner Blog Accelerator (blogging course)
- Blog Structure Blueprint (free download)
The best part about blogging is that you can do it from home, on your own schedule, and the income potential is unlimited. Once you’ve started your blog, I recommend taking Six Figure Blogger to optimize it for making money.
2. Freelance write
Freelance writing is another great way to make $1,000 every month.
Freelance writing means that you are writing for other online publications. Freelance writing offers ultimate job flexibility and allows you to be super creative with your work. This side hustle can pay big bucks, too (think $100 to $500+ per post).
I didn’t have any experience freelance writing two years ago and now I have clients that I write for on a consistent basis. This is also a great way to hone your writing skills and turn your writing into a side business.
To start making money freelance writing from home, take the Earn More Writing course. This will teach you how to start freelance writing from home, including what mistakes to avoid so you actually start making money right away.
Anyone can become a freelance writer, and you can, in fact, make over $1,000 per month from freelance writing.
3. Drive for Uber
Driving for Uber is a great way to make an extra $1,000 every month.
The best part about driving for Uber is that you have complete flexibility with your schedule. You can drive whenever you want. This means you can make as much or as little money as you want on your own terms. It’s a really great way to start making money fast on the side.
4. Open an Etsy Shop
Etsy is the hub of selling arts and crafts online. It’s a great place to throw up a store fast and start selling. If you make jewelry, clothes, signs, anything – Etsy is a really great place to launch a small shop. If you go this route, I recommend reading posts about selling on Etsy before you get started. There are lots of tips and tricks to make your store more successful (for example, the more products you put up over time, the better).
You can make a lot of money selling things you make on Etsy. I used to sell jewelry on Etsy and know that it’s possible to make $1,000+ per month this way.
5. Teach kids your skills
If you have any skills that kids need to learn, there’s a good chance you can teach them how to do it. You can tutor in person or online these days. Think: school subjects like math and science, music lessons, cooking, programming, or fitness. Think outside the box. If you used to be in sports, there’s a good chance you can coach kids on a team or give them individual lessons.
Parents pay big bucks to help their kids get better at pretty much anything.
If there’s something that you can teach kids, you can make over $1,000/month doing it. You could be the person they need to achieve this. It’s a win-win.
6. Become a virtual assistant or social media manager
You can work as a virtual assistant (VA) or social media manager from home and make good money on the side. These are two different jobs, but they’re similar in that they both require you to assist someone else’s online business. As a VA, you can do a number of tasks to help whoever you’re working for. As a social media manager, you will just help with managing social media.
If you don’t have any experience with social media or online tasks, then a VA is a better fit. You can learn how to become a VA in Your Way To VA. A lot of bloggers take on VA work to make money on the side, and a lot of bloggers need a good VA. There’s definitely a market for you to make money this way. It’s basically being a personal assistant to someone’s online business.
If you’re good with Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, or Twitter, you can probably find work as a social media manager, even if it’s small scale. You’ll basically be helping online businesses post more frequently and respond to messages and comments. This can be a full-time job for experienced people, but you can also find work on the side. I’ve been approached several times and asked to manage people’s Pinterest accounts. I just don’t have the time!
A Final Note!
There are SO many ways to make money on the side.
The list above is just a start at how you can make an extra $1,000 every month.
I’ve had success with, blogging, freelance writing, selling on Etsy, tutoring, and babysitting.
I started making $1,000/month by learning from other people. I did what they did and it worked.
If you want to start making $1,000/month, I recommend you do one of the things listed above because you can actually make more than $1,000 from each of these ways.
I believe you can change the way you think about work and money, and ultimately live a happier, more fulfilling life without financial stress.
