I cannot even begin to tell you how crazy it is that I’m a full time – six figure – blogger.
A few years ago I knew nothing about blogging.
Now, I’m living my dream.
But the good news is that I’m not a unicorn – you can learn this stuff, too.
The list below are the very best tools I use and recommend because they’re what helped me get to six figure blogger status.
I break up the page into three main blogging categories
You should also bookmark or pin my Ultimate Guide To Blogging, which is where I like to every single post I write about blogging.
Also, I created Blog With A Full Time Job, which is the course that I teach all my blogging stuff in. If you want to start a blog while working full time, this is your best bet. I lay out everything in this course.
As you probably already know, it can be hard to learn about blogging because there is so much bad information and advertising out there that makes it impossible to know what to believe.
That’s why I created this list – I seriously want to help you crush it with your blog. Some of the links below are affiliate links, fyi. Of course, I only recommend tools I use and love myself.
Okay, let’s get started…

2. Blog With A Full Time Job 12 Month Plan
Blog With A Full Time Job 12 Month Plan is the 12 month plan I teach for starting, growing, and monetizing your blog while working full time. This is the foundation for succeeding at blogging with a full time job, and it’s what I teach in my coaching and courses. It a framework for planning each month for a full year. By the end, you can have a profitable blog while working full time throughout the whole thing.
3. 2018 Blogging Trends eBook
The 2018 Blogging Trends eBook is a freebie that is am.az.ing! Download it now to learn about the future of blogging and what you can do to launch, grow, and monetize your blog to be ahead of the trends. I devoured this one!
3. Launch Your Blog
Launch Your Blog is an online course that teaches you how to launch a blog, with specific video instruction on how to do it. While other options are available for free, you will have to do a lot of leg work yourself. And take it from me, it’s a lot hard than it looks! So, if you can swing it, I would take this course.
4. Divi Theme
Divi Theme is an amazing blog theme because of the super sweet page builder. I created a blog theme identical to mine right now using Divi. It’s that good. I highly recommend it. Not only is it easy to use, but I don’t know another design that’s as customizable. It’s super sophisticated with the builder, making it ideal of you to create any design you want.
5. iMark Interactive
iMark Interactive is the company I trust to help me with the tech side of my blog (whether it’s fixing WordPress problems on my site, transferring sites, or setting up a new blog). This is the best company I know of to work on websites.
And if you are a blogger, you will need someone like Grayson Bell, the man behind iMark. He’s amazing!
Grow Your Blog
Here are the best tools and resources to grow your blog.
1. Pinterest Traffic Avalanche
Pinterest Traffic Avalanche is an online course that will teach you how to use Pinterest to exponentially grow your blog traffic. This is a solution for beginner bloggers who want to drive 10k-100k in organic traffic to their blogs every month. The creators are super cool and easy to learn from, so after the course, you’ll have an action plan to implement right away.
2. Planoly (Instagram Scheduler)
Planoly is an Instagram app that changed my life. It helped me completely rebrand to a cohesive feed, with my followers now growing exponentially. Planoly allows you to pre-schedule your posts and move them around so you can see what your feed will look like in advance. I don’t know of another tool to help you grow your Instagram following more effectively than Planoly.
3. Lead Pages
Lead Pages is the tool I use for landing pages. The image below is one of the landing pages I created with Lead pages for a free training I offer. It’s really important to have separate landing pages with nothing distracting to your readers when you are trying to get them to sign up for something. This is what Lead Pages does. It’s super easy to use, and has increased my conversions for email signups tenfold. I’m super happy with Lead Pages and it works very well with Seva for email marketing, which is really important to me.
4. Seva (Email Marketing)
Seva is the best email marketing platform out there. I use it and highly recommend it. It took me from barely any subscribers to over 20k in under two years. It was designed by a blogger for bloggers, so everything is super intuitive and works well on a blog. You need this to grow and monetize your blog. Period. If you’re just learning about email marketing, check out this post on how I grew my list to 10k and the comparison of 4 email marketing providers. Seva is my lifeline – I seriously can’t say enough about it.
You can get a FREE 30 day trial with Seva using my special discounted link!
5. Opt-In Monster
Opt-In Monster is what I use for the pop-ups on my site. In a world where pop-ups work but Google penalizes the use of them, Opt-In Monster is the perfect solution. I am OBSESSED with Opt-In Monster because I can use an exit-intent popup on my site and only for specific categories. Not only that but using images in your popups increase engagement. It’s amazing!
ClickFunnels is the service I use for selling my digital products. It’s the best solution to selling products through your blog with a built-in sales page builder. The sales page builder is incredibly easy to use. Since having a high converting sales page is arguably the most important component to selling your product, this is reallllly important. ClickFunnels is also super easy to connect to your blog, create a dynamic and professional sales page, take payments, and deliver your product to your readers. Check out my store page as an example – I used ClickFunnels to create that page. I love it!
7. Flourish With FB Ads
Flourish With FB Ads is an online course that teaches you exactly how to use Facebook ads to grow your blog. Whether it’s making more money or promoting your blog, you can use Facebook to grow your blog. The most effective way to do this is through Facebook ads. It’s not intuitive though, so you really need to be careful not to waste your money. That’s why you should take a course, such as Flourish With FB Ads to learn how to do it correctly. The creator of the course is who I hired to coach me with Facebook ads. She’s the best, and I highly recommend her and this course. Use code Natalie50 to take $50 off. 🙂
8. Strategies Worth Sharing
Strategies Worth Sharing by Brittany Ann is an eBook about how to increase your Facebook following. I devoured this 75+ page book in one night and immediately put the strategies into action. I highly recommend this if you’re getting started on Facebook or want to see your following grow. It’s so good!
9. Facebook Groups
Through my own personal experience, Facebook groups have been the bomb. I’m a part of several groups and have my own that you can join here – Natalie Bacon FB Community. I highly recommend joining Facebook groups that align with your vision (mine should do that if you’re interested in growing your social media followers).
10. Email lists
Join email lists and subscribe to bloggers who you want to learn how to blog from. It’s the best way to have direct access to people who inspire you and who you want to be like.

How I Made $45k In 1 Year Blogging While Working Full Time is my eBook where I share 12 months of income reports, my time management tactics for blogging and working full time, and how you can launch, grow, and monetize a blog. 2. Six Figure Blogger
In Six Figure Blogger, you’ll learn how to make a six figure income from blogging — specifically through affiliate marketing and selling digital products (eBooks and courses). It’s the best blogging course I’ve ever taken, and I highly recommend it if you already have your blog launched (if you haven’t started, don’t take this course). I took the course and this is the exact monetization strategy I’m using right now.
3. Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing
Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing is an online course that teaches you how to make money blogging with affiliate marketing. The creator makes $50k/month from affiliate marketing on her blog — it’s amazing. The course rocks, and I keep going back to it to improve my own affiliate marketing strategies. You also get access to a private Facebook group by signing up and it’s very active with bloggers helping each other make money blogging with affiliate marketing.
Teachable is a platform for creating your own courses and coaching programs to monetize your blog. I use it (see the pic below of my “school” in Teachable). I am so happy I found Teachable because it’s super easy to use and. You can create products and sell them through the Teachable platform. This is where I host and sell Design Your Dream Life Academy, if you want to check out an example. I love Teachable, and I highly recommend using it!

Here are the best tools and resources to make money online without having to build a blog.

You can make money with blogging by doing tasks for other bloggers as a virtual assistant (VA). You can learn how to become a VA in the course Your Way To VA, by Laura Pennington (use the code NATALIEB to get 20% off). She teaches you exactly how to go from knowing nothing about being a VA to running a successful business as a VA. I highly recommend it!
